Scientist CGI is seeking a scientist for development of rapid, inexpensive, complete genome sequencing technology. The scientist will devise and carry out experiments in the manipulation of large DNA molecules or DNA based macromolecular structures, their attachment to surfaces, diffusion and mixing issues, size separation, fragmentation, options for chemical attachment, etc. Extensive understanding and experience with the characterization of DNA or RNA aimed at the development of a commercial assay or device is desired. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in biophysics, physical chemistry, chemical engineering, or closely related discipline, or a B.S./M.S. and at least 5 years industrial experience.
