Senior Bioinformatics Analyst

• Analysis of raw DNA sequence data, including alignment, assembly and annotation.

• Algorithm and process development to aid feedback to biochemists.

• Ad hoc simulations in support of biochemical assay development.

• Three or more years of bioinformatics experience.  Strong knowledge of bioinformatics fundamentals. 

• Previous experience manipulating and analyzing very large data sets.  Software skills appropriate for this analysis (scripting, R, C/C++, SQL, etc).

•  Strong statistical analysis skills

•  Previous experience using statistical and analytical skills to drive biochemical assay development.  Proven ability to work with both biochemists and computer scientists.

• Advanced degree in statistics, CS, or bioinformatics (or biology, along with a very strong computational background.) 

• Familiarity with previous and next-generation DNA sequencing and genotyping technologies is a plus.

• Industry experience and a good fit to the culture of a venture-backed startup company.

• Good collaboration & communication skills and the ability to participate in interdisciplinary team.
