About the Program

Spatial transcriptomics is one of the most transformative technologies in genomics, yet its complexity often leaves researchers uncertain about where to start. That’s why Complete Genomics is introducing the Spatial Xcellerator program—to empower scientists to confidently embark on their spatial omics journey.

Through two targeted Xcellerator tracks—Cancer Research and Tissue Atlas Studies—the program focuses on U.S. and Canadian researchers. It offers not only free reagents and sequencing but also expert-led training and support throughout the entire workflow, from sample preparation to data analysis.

This program aims to accelerate scientific breakthroughs by reducing barriers and providing critical resources and training.

Program Requirements

Applicants

  • Must be a full-time scientist at an accredited academic institution or private company in the United States*.
  • Must have the samples ready within 3 months of the award date.

Proposal

  • The project proposal template will be emailed once you complete the signup form.
  • Must complete the requirements in the project proposal template.

Submission

  • All project proposals must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
  • Must email the proposals to [email protected]

Which Xcellerator track is right for you?

Xcellerator for Cancer Research

  • Designed for scientists focusing on cancer research using Formalin Fixed Paraffin Embedded (FFPE) samples.
  • Up to 5 projects will be selected
  • Up to twenty (1cm x 1cm) Stereo-seq OMNI chips with accompanying reagents per project

Xcellerator for Tissue Atlas Studies

  • Tailored for scientists studying large tissues in areas like tissue atlas or neuroscience research.
  • Up to 5 projects will be selected, with up to 5 samples per project.
  • Includes Stereo-seq transcriptomics kits (2cm x 3cm) for Fresh Frozen samples.
